This series of larger-than-life floral images was shot using a flatbed scanner. I found that the scanner could capture details that my camera lens never could, and created a strangely surreal capture of otherwise normal floral shots. A very minimal focal point combined with direct lighting from the scanner element, creates a feeling that these tiny objects are actually much larger than life, and are left floating in empty, dark space.
