Southern Open at Acadiana Center for the Arts

Southern Open 2008 is a competitive visual arts exhibition showcasing the talents of artists residing in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. A nationally recognized juror, Peter Frank edited and selected 105 pieces out of 777 submissions to be included in the exhibition. Exhibition runs from May 10, 2008 until July 26, 2008 At the Acadiana Center for the Arts, in Lafayette Louisiana (map).

5th Annual Art Melt Baton Rouge

The 2008 Art Melt will take place Friday, July 11th from 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm in the Brunner Gallery located in the Shaw Center for the Arts in Downtown Baton Rouge (map). The Show will hang until Jul 19, 2008.

Located at Palmer Park in the lovely Carrollton Section of Uptown New Orleans (At the corner of two well trafficked streets, S. Claiborne Ave and S.
